Epic… still loving this move.
Wade Belak had a little tour with the Avalanche and was tough as nails. He kept the old-scholl alive in a very modern game.
I had been meaning to check this one out. I think the injury was the real kicker. It was knee on knee and it was unfortunate, but he definitely got em. First penalty minutes of the season for Porter I think.

This is probably the most up-to-date list of Avs past and present. Really cool to see some of the old names.
Did you know??? Sandis Ozolinsh opened Latvia’s first 18-hole golf course, Ozo Golf Club. Very cool!
What ever happend to??? Owen Nolan
Nolan wasn’t in the Avalanche uniform long before being traded but he did stick around the league long enough to be known by all as a touch, talented player. Seems that Olan has gone the way of many other NHL’ers including Ray Bourque and Bates Battaglia opening his own Restaurant called The Brit (Britannia Arms) in San Jose.

Co-Owner of a minor league team:
Eric Lacroix - Owner and Governor of the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League
John-Michael Liles - Minority owner of the Indiana Ice of the USHL
Dale Hunter - Co-Owner, President, and Head Coach of the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League
Warren Rychel Part-owner of the Windsor Spitfires of the Ontario Hockey League
We mentioned a few tweets back that the Avalanche used to be our indoor soccer team… well, here’s the proof. How about those short-shorts.
25 Games since Adam #Foote hung up the skates, is he missed? I’d say the #avs miss his leadership at the very least.

Where are they now??? It seems like Forsberg was just here in Colorado but lets play this game anyway. Everyone knows that Forsberg is a business man and many know that he’s in the development business with his Dad in addition to the hockey business. What I didnt’ know is that he was importing Crocs into Sweden. It’s hard to dull this mans reputation, but if anything could do it…
What ever happend to: Anyone remember a guy named Ray Bourque? Turns out he’s living the good life back in Boston and is part owner of the Tresca Italian Restaurant. I’d be willing to bet it’s a hot-sport for past and current NHL’ers.
“If this is it, I had a hell of a run,” Laperriere said.
Much respect for Laperriere. As tough as he was, he was always classy.
